Em Shank

Living and working in Philadelphia, Em Shank - creating under the name Slow Form – is a practicing jewelry artist, and member of the Night Shift Studio Co-op. Em draws inspiration from the lines and geometry of the city, the industrial landscapes, the mundane. In their recent work, function informs design, and is characterized by repetition of elements and small, subtle detail. The scale of the work commands attention, while the repetition of components in each piece creates a rhythmic visual that draws the viewer in to discover the subtleties of the design.
